On July 5, 2023,
chef and restaurant producer "Shunsuke Inada" published his book 'Kuishinbo no Onayami Soudan' (Food Lover's Advice Box).
On the same day, a publication commemoration event titled "'Kuishinbo no Onayami Soudan' Publication Commemoration: 1,000 Food & Cooking Questions! Shunsuke Inada Talk Event" was held at Junkudo Bookstore in Ikebukuro.
Here is a report on this unique talk event, filled with questions and consultations about food!

Shunsuke Inada is active on Twitter as "Inada Shunsuke."
He is known among fellow "food psychopaths" for expressing what can only be called an obsessive dedication to food.
Inada has been using Soudanbako since its launch on April 10, 2022.
On Soudanbako, he replies with careful, witty writing to consultations and questions gathered from fans of Inada himself, fans of "food," and fans of Eric South.

This time, the Q&A exchanges from Inada's Soudanbako were compiled into a book through publisher "Little More," which has published various books with Inada.
The publication event was held in a corner of Junkudo Bookstore in Ikebukuro.
An online stream was also held simultaneously on the day.
The event consisted of two parts: first, a segment where Inada answered pre-collected questions, followed by a segment where he answered questions and consultations gathered from attendees and online viewers.
Both segments featured a barrage of "power words" with a strong impact,
delivering such a dense experience that it felt like enough material to fill another book on its own.
Humanity's greatest culinary invention is mayonnaise, white sauce, and ice cream!
If aliens visit, have them eat a kids' meal and world peace will be maintained!
A buffet is not about "what to eat" but "what not to eat"!
Customizing ramen is the "gateway for enthusiasts"!
It's Not a Maritozzo Boom
(Who knew the conversation would expand from "food" all the way to world peace…!!!)
The questions from attendees ranged from casual to profound…
Q: My wife is a bread lover. How can I make her a rice lover starting tomorrow?
Q: My 5th-grade child is wary of independent restaurants.
Q: Why do people serve rice and curry in half portions?
(As a kid, chain restaurants did feel reassuring, didn't they?)
The most memorable Q&A of the event was this one:
Soup
(What a decisive answer…!!!)
The audience all seemed to have strong opinions about food as well,
making it a place where fellow "neighborhood dwellers" gathered, filled with niche laughter at every turn.
The book is divided into 6 chapters and features as many as 65 questions and consultations.
